HOW OUR DKP SYSTEM WORKS

"/roll is the devil."

DKP is earned by participating in official Dark Angels raids, lead by an official Dark Angel raid leader or a sanctioned raid leader. The amount of DKP you get per raid is based on the loot and is defined as follows:

dkpiv/rm=dkppp

Where dkpiv is the dkp item value, rm the raid members participating in the raid and dkppp the dkp per player. There is no dkp earned for disenchanted items and the dkppp value will be rounded down to a whole number.

Acquiring items
Items can be acquired by spending an amount of DKP equal to the item's DKP value. Your eligibility for an item is decided by class and DKP standing. Standing 1 means that you have the most DKP. If an item drops the player(s) with standing 1 can choose to buy the item for the item's dkp value. If a standing 1 player does not want the item the player with standing 2 gets the chance to buy it if he passes the player with standing 3 gets eligible for the item in question etc. Buying an item results in a dkp loss. If multiple people share the same standing a roll will be executed and the winner loses the item's dkp value and possible standings (it is not mandatory to take part in a roll).

Unaffordable or unwanted items
If you do not have enough DKP for an item you can go into negative DKP if and only if all others in the raid do not want it. If no one in the raid wants an item it will go for disenchant and the residuals will be sent to the guildbank. Items that are about to be disenchanted which could be used as an offset item for a member will have significant drop in cost. We would much rather get gear to folks that can use it rather than DE items.

Hording Points
Anyone viewed as hording points will be warned and dealt with by the guild leader. For example, you cannot pass on items from the first 11 bosses, so you can get first dibs on the final boss loot. This behavior is unacceptable, and will not be tolerated.

Trial members
Trial members earn 1/2 the dkp of full members. They can not take loot over full members for the duration of their 3 week trial membership.

Alternate characters
DKP is earned by account not character. This means that DKP earned by your alternate character will go to the same DKP account as your main character's earnings. However if you join a raid with one of your characters you can only buy items for that character. If you get caught buying items (BoE) for one of your other characters your DKP will be removed. Taking items as an alt over main characters is not allowed.

Note:All dkp policies posted herein are subject to change as we mature our raid group for the expansion.
